"I was having a difficult time finding a mortgage lender that would loan on my property. Not one of the conventional mortgage lenders ( BofA, Wells Fargo, Countrywide, etc.) would. The only answer was to find a private lender. I asked everyone I knew, including my accountant and friends in real estate if they knew one.
